Taking its place between the Outlander Sport and Outlander in Mitsubishi’s SUV lineup, the Eclipse Cross shares the same, bold style and performance as the iconic sport compact sedan that first made the Eclipse name popular in the 1990s. South Dakota drivers tend to gravitate toward the Eclipse Cross because of its turbocharged engine, comfortable interior, long list of standard features, aggressive styling elements, and like every new Mitsubishi vehicle, extensive warranty coverage. Buckle up and take a ride with Vern Eide Mitsubishi in Sioux Falls as we review the 2022 Eclipse Cross and see what this redesigned crossover SUV has to offer.
One of the most anticipated Mitsubishi redesigns is finally here! The 2022 Eclipse Cross has arrived at Vern Eide Mitsubishi in Sioux Falls with a bold new look, more standard safety technologies, and a revised suspension to enhance performance. Building on an already-aggressive exterior, the redesigned 2022 Eclipse Cross is now over five inches longer than the outgoing model, creating an imposing profile and more cargo space. Up front, the crossover gets restyled and repositioned headlamps and LED daytime running lights, a new front bumper, and the latest version of Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield grille design. In back, Mitsubishi pays homage to some of its most iconic vehicles with a sculpted hexagonal liftgate that now features a single pane of glass instead of the split-window design. Here’s what else is new for the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross this season:
While Mitsubishi’s redesigned crossover SUV has adopted a whole new look on the outside, the 2022 Eclipse Cross interior has some exciting changes of its own.
With a longer, redesigned exterior, the 2022 Eclipse Cross interior now features 23.4 cubic feet behind the second row and a whopping 50.1 cubic feet of max cargo area with the second row folded down.
Now available on the SEL trim level, the 2022 Eclipse Cross interior can be outfitted with new, light gray leather seats with color-contrasting black accents and color-coordinated door trim.
On LE trims and above, the Eclipse Cross cabin is now equipped with a new 8-inch infotainment screen that has added tuning and volume knobs, and has also been moved two inches closer to the driver.
